Audience cohorts

Group Your Market by the Problem It Shares.

A logistics company and a hospital group may both fit your ICP, but they won't reply to the same email. RevFirst splits your market into cohorts that share a problem, and you choose which ones go first.

What Is a Cohort?

A cohort is a group of target accounts that share the same business problem, so one offer and one email sequence make sense to all of them. RevFirst builds cohorts from the accounts that match your ICP, then asks you to approve which cohorts to start with. Each approved cohort becomes its own campaign.

Why One Message for Your Whole Market Fails.

Most outbound treats an entire ICP as one audience. The email ends up general enough to apply to everyone, which means it speaks to no one in particular. Adding a first name or a company name doesn't fix that, because the reader can still tell the message wasn't written about their situation.

Cohorts fix the problem upstream. When every account in a group shares the same pressure, such as running many sites or answering to a private equity owner, the offer can name that pressure directly. The emails stay specific without being written one by one.

Approve where to start

You Pick the Cohorts. We Prepare the Rest.

After sizing your market, RevFirst shows the cohorts it found and how many accounts sit in each. Start with the one or two that matter most, and leave the others for later. Nothing moves forward until you approve.

  • Cohorts sized by accounts and decision-makers
  • Start with as few as one
  • Each cohort gets its own offer and sequence
  • Add more cohorts later

Common Questions

How does RevFirst decide which accounts go in a cohort?

It groups the accounts that match your ICP by the business problem they share, so one offer and one email sequence can speak to all of them.

How many cohorts will I get?

It depends on your market. A sample workspace with 8,420 accounts shows 5 cohorts. You choose how many to start with.

Do I have to run every cohort?

No. You approve which cohorts to start with. The others stay available, so you can add them once you've seen results from the first ones.

Is a cohort the same as a campaign?

Each approved cohort gets its own campaign, with its own offer and email sequence. That keeps results readable, because you can see which groups send positive replies.

Why not just personalize each email instead?

Personal details don't help if the core message is about the wrong problem. Cohorts make sure the problem is right for every reader, and you can still edit any email.
